Gut Check

Founded by the Gainesville Jaycees in 1997, Gut Check has made a lasting impact on the lives of young men across Gainesville and Hall County. This two-day program gives middle school boys the chance to develop leadership skills, build confidence, and strengthen teamwork through hands-on challenges and shared experiences. The event begins with a field day full of team-building activities and friendly competition, and concludes with a hike up Yonah Mountain and an unforgettable rappelling experience down the mountain’s rock face. Gut Check is designed to challenge participants, help them overcome obstacles, and prepare them to become strong, productive members of their families, schools, and community.
